Initial development began as a simple remedy to the bad braking characteristic of the BMW Mini.

Many Mini owners have complained about the irregular braking characteristics about their vehicles. The case being, the driver’s foot to brake pedal action relative to the actual deceleration of the machine is not entirely as in sync with their intention. Another large factor Mini owners complain about is the exceeding amount of brake dust and squeal. The first design concept when developing the iSWEEP IS500 Brake Pads was to formulate a compound that makes the braking action feel more natural again. This will slow down and stop the vehicle just how the driver envisions it in their mind, making the driving experience far more enjoyable. On top of that, the brake dust and noise is reduced dramatically.
